Technical Tips
I've been thinking for quite a while about what to start with on this page. Tech tips is a broad subject to cover and can include so many things. What I've decided to do is get right down to the basics. How many riders out there know how a 4 stroke engine works? What different components of an engine do and how each part affects the performance? How to correctly "break-in" your engine other than what the owner's manual tells you? Well over time you will find all of this information and more right here on this page. Understanding how things work will hopefully help you to setup your Honda XRM much better and know what questions to ask your mechanic.

The first topic that I want to cover here is how to "Break-In" your Honda XRM or any engine for that matter. I am a great believer that the way you break in your motor is one of the most important but too often over-looked factor to a good, strong engine.
The following article is an extract from www.Mototuneusa.com but it's general technique and suggestions is what I use to do with my own engines for both cars and bikes back home in Australia and also with my Honda XRM. I hope you enjoy the topic.
